The book is about a son named Thomas who wakes up in a place called the Glade which he has never seen before, and is surrounded by new places, people, and events that he is completely unfamiliar with(predicate) with. Thomas doesnt remember much about before he woke up there, and at first he feels alone and uncomfortable with his new milieu. This approach of being introduced into something you are completely unfamiliar with is a special K feeling in the life of a teenager, and with current day engineering it is becoming more and more difficult to adapt to new surroundings and become introduced to new places and people.
